This was the biggest stop for the Community Tour.  An estimated 30,000 people attended 'Adventures NYC' in Central Park and we were part of this amazing festival!

While the entire event stretched out over a fairly large area of the Park, we were able to highlight our interactive “village” with our 20 foot tall farmer flags, seen by all for long distances.  Alongside the State of Vermont, Ski Vermont and the VT Maple Producers, our Tour tents included Bike NY, Puppetry Arts, the Museum of Motherhood, Gymboree and many cooperatives representing the different co-op sectors in the metro region.

Our national sponsors also had a large presence.  East Coast Greenway was able to introduce a lot of active, outdoor enthusiasts to their local trails and AARP again was able to not only introduce thousands to their programs, but keep the ribbon theme going with large numbers writing down the good they do for the NYC area.

Since we were now in the backyards of some of Cabot's dairy farmers, two of these families joined us for the afternoon and were a huge hit.  People really like to find out that their food source is local and how many urban kids get to meet a real farmer?  Mark made the largest batch of cheese curds he made at any of the Tour events and Chef Jimmy sampled over 8,000 Cheddar S'mores.  Needless to say, both Cabot photo barns had non-stop action all afternoon!
