Our second stop along the 2012 Cabot Community Tour was, as the title sponsor of the world renowned Piccolo Spoleto Children's Festival. 

Over 6,000 people joined us on this hot Memorial Day weekend in historic Marion Square to celebrate children, the arts and the best of Charleston! 

Our partners on site included AARP, where over 200 people, including many children, filled out ribbons describing the good they do in their communities.  South Carolina's Credit Union League helped celebrate the International Year of Cooperatives and Berkeley Electric showcased their new Nissan Leaf, a state of the art electric car. 

SCETV, South Carolina's statewide public television and radio network, gave away hundreds of children's books and also had their mascot, Smart Cat, interacting with the families.  Cabot's master chef Jimmy Kennedy not only sampled Cheddar S'mores but prepared his own version of the local favorite, Carolina Shrimp and Cheddar Grits.  Hundreds of people also chose between having their photo taken in the Cabot photo booths with either our cow or our farmer!  Farmer Mark and the miniature vat and samples of curds were again, extremely popular.
